Ending it

I don’t know how to delete this site! :(

Basically, I won’t be coming back here. I’ve taken some more time to think this through and, if I can ever make a new conlang, it’s just gonna be another barrier.

Language infuriates me. I love it, but only because you can ‘understand’ more people, yet I’m sick of word restrictions. If I make one, I’d have to intellectualize it, and then I can’t come out with whatever the heck is really on my mind. Which would probably look something like crennonin bwouge, sraahn chucomblegon hossin menon gon bregata.

That probably sounded really stupid, but oh well.

Starting Mataroi

So, this is my first post regarding Mataroi, which is the placeholder name for my conlang.

I’ve devised a plan to attempt to slash the time it takes to learn this. Basically, pretty much every word will be made up of two syllables, with an ‘n’ in between depending on a certain factor which I will discuss later. The first syllable will represent the category and for now I’ll call it the marker; things like consumption, animals, body parts, etc. The second syllable I’ll call the object. It is, well, a word. One of these could mean tons of things. Then, you bring in the category, and BAM, it’s a refined word!

This will slash learning time because if you learn the categories, then you can get the gist of a conversation just based on those categories. Then, vocabulary can be introduced by learning the objects after the markers. Personally, I think it sounds like a good idea on paper.

Comments on this appreciated! :)

Also, sorry if I don’t update in a bit, I have a lot of homework I need to do. It should be way better by the 6/6 so I’ll probably update more frequently then.

Beginning of a journey…

So, the basics. I’m new to this whole blog thing. I know basically nothing about linguistics. The only thing I really know is that I have wanted to make a conlang for a while. I’m basing it off of the ‘language’ in the game Blue Rabbit’s Climate Chaos, made by the Super Flash Bros. In other words, I’ll have a relatively consonant-vowel way of forming syllables and I’ll have pictures in mind when forming any grammar rules.

Please wish me luck!
